Machine Operators / Technician (Forklifts, Motorized Sweepers, Boom lifts, Heavy Trucks) at International Facilities Services Limited - IFS

About the Role

We are seeking skilled and reliable Machine Operators/Technicians with hands-on experience operating and maintaining industrial and heavy-duty equipment. You will work with forklifts, motorized sweepers, boom lifts, and heavy trucks to support efficient site operations.

The ideal candidate will ensure safe handling, efficient operations, and basic troubleshooting of assigned machines to maintain smooth workflow across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate machines including forklifts, sweepers, boom lifts, and heavy trucks in accordance with company and safety standards
• Conduct pre-operation checks, routine inspections, and minor preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Report and escalate mechanical faults or safety concerns immediately to management
• Ensure proper cleaning, fueling, and storage of equipment after use
• Support logistics and site operations by handling loading/unloading, material movements, and specialized lifting tasks
• Maintain accurate daily logs of equipment use, incidents, and maintenance needs
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures at all times

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of OND/Technical Certificate or equivalent qualification
• 2–5 years' proven experience operating forklifts, sweepers, boom lifts, and/or heavy trucks
• Valid and up-to-date operator's license/certification for relevant machines
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to carry out minor repairs and adjustments
• Good physical fitness and alertness for safe machine handling
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and best practices
• Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and teamwork
