Machine Operator - Ascentech Services Limited, Lagos

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview:

• The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging and processing machines under the supervision of the Maintenance Engineer and Production team.

• The role focuses on achieving daily production targets with minimal or zero rejections while ensuring machine efficiency, safety, and compliance with maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities: Machine Operations & Production:

• Operate machines efficiently to meet daily production targets with minimal or zero quality issues.

• Take ownership of assigned machines and ensure optimal performance during operations.

• Monitor machine parameters and product quality throughout production.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Ensure machine cleaning, servicing, and installation are carried out as per schedule under the supervision of the Production Supervisor.

• Promptly report any unusual occurrences, breakdowns, or potential damage to the FRT/ART or relevant technical teams.

• Assist in basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE):

• Ensure strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies.

• Use appropriate safety tools and resources while performing all tasks.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment at all times.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation, including:

• Maintenance schedules

• Equipment history cards

• Installation and repair records

• Work orders and operational reports

Compliance & Ethics:

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

• Ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented during daily operations.

Additional Responsibilities: - Perform other related duties or assignments as required by management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Time Integration of Products: Proper and timely introduction of ready-to-eat products into the machine.

• Production Target Achievement: Consistent achievement of daily production targets.

• Technical Competency: Demonstrated expertise in machine operation and troubleshooting.

• Food Handling & Safety: High level of understanding and compliance with food safety standards.

• Sanitation & Food Safety Balance: Maintain high sanitation and safety standards within defined timelines.
