Lobbying, Policy & Government Relations Consultant at Viisaus Technology Ltd

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking a pragmatic and politically astute Lobbying, Policy & Government Relations Consultant. You will support clients in navigating Nigeria's policy and regulatory environment through strategic advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and government relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute lobbying and advocacy strategies aligned to client objectives
• Build and manage relationships with public- and private-sector stakeholders, including MDAs, regulators, and industry groups
• Monitor and analyse policy and regulatory developments; convert insights into client-facing advice and action
• Lead stakeholder mapping, engagement planning, and targeted outreach
• Prepare briefings, position papers, submissions, and presentations for clients

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, International Business, or related field
• 3–5 years' experience in government relations, lobbying, public affairs, policy advisory, or related consulting or legal environments
• Strong understanding of Nigerian governance structures, legislative processes, and regulatory frameworks
• Proven stakeholder network or demonstrated access to policymakers and regulators
• Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
