About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this experienced lifting equipment operator position based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and perform rigging activities to assist maintenance, production, construction, and safety crews as required
• Load and unload material and equipment in accordance with company-specific lifting procedures, including movement of material to proper locations
• Carry out all lifting operations in accordance with safety rules and company regulations
• Perform general inspection of cranes prior to operating, including checking condition of wire ropes, brake system, bolts, pins, and similar items
• Report any potential defects or malfunctions to the Logistics Supervisor
• Ensure safety of personnel and equipment during all operations

Required Qualifications

• Twelfth grade (12) secondary education or equivalent certificate
• Prior special training on crane operations
• Proven experience in operating cranes
• Current crane operator certificate

Key Attributes

• Minimal work direction needed—highly skilled and knowledgeable in the position
• Expert-level proficiency in the field
• Professional certification holder preferred
