## Title: Legal Human Resources Officer
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join us as a Legal Human Resources Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and review contracts and provide legal advice accordingly
- Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
- Offer legal advice and support on issues that may affect the company
- Ensure compliance with all necessary statutory obligations
- Supervise and manage employee issues with the company
- Draft official letters with proficiency and accuracy
- Maintain proper file documentation and manage company secretarial issues
- Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions
- Ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with applicable laws
- Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources and legal compliance
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Thoroughness in legal document review and compliance matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Law or related field
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent)
