About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated legal professional to serve as a trusted legal partner on a retainer basis. You will provide continuous legal advisory and ensure compliance across the group while managing contracts, intellectual property, and dispute resolution matters.

Scope of Work

General Legal Advisory & Compliance

• Provide continuous advisory on all legal matters across the group
• Ensure each entity remains compliant with regulatory and corporate governance requirements

Contract Review & Drafting

• Review and draft customer engagement documents, ensuring clarity, enforceability, and risk protection
• Prepare and review partnership contracts, vendor agreements, consignment arrangements, NDAs, employment contracts, lease agreements, and joint venture documents

Intellectual Property (IP) Protection

• Register and protect trademarks, brand names, and logos across all subsidiaries and in-house brands
• Manage copyright and design rights for furniture, fashion, and creative outputs

Dispute Management & Resolution

• Represent the group in dispute resolution, arbitration, or litigation when necessary
• Develop frameworks for risk mitigation and early resolution of conflicts

Specialized Sector Coverage

• Hospitality: Guest agreements, event collaborations, liability waivers
• Retail: Supplier contracts, customer returns policies, brand exclusivity agreements
• Creative Brands: Licensing agreements, collaborations, royalty structures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant legal field

Key Deliverables

• Comprehensive review of all current customer-facing documents
• Updated contract templates for use across brands
• Annual legal compliance calendar for filings, renewals, and registrations
• Ongoing advisory retainer support for daily business operations

Engagement Details

Work Arrangement: Full-time hybrid role with physical presence at the flagship office in Lekki required at least twice per week.

Reporting Structure: You will work closely with brand leads and report directly to Group Directors.
