Qualifications Requirements

Option 1: Ph.D. Holders

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in relevant field
• Minimum three (3) years experience as Lecturer II or Librarian II
• Admissible publications totaling not less than twenty-five (25) points
• Job Appraisal score of not less than forty-five (45) points
• Minimum of five (5) publications
• Ph.D. in Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Fellowship in Medicine (registered with MDCN or Veterinary Council of Nigeria)

Option 2: Master's Degree Holders

• Master's Degree in relevant field
• Minimum three (3) years experience as Lecturer II or Librarian II
• Admissible publications totaling not less than thirty (30) points
• Citation history of not less than five (5)
• Job Appraisal score of not less than forty-five (45) points
• Minimum of six (6) publications

Additional Requirements

• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Minimum two (2) points in Academic Leadership or Administrative Responsibility
• Visible profile on Google Scholar or Research Gate with citation not less than five (5)

Appointment Terms

A successful applicant taking up a teaching appointment at the University for the first time will enter at no more than the rank of Lecturer I.
