Qualifications Required

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

Pathway 1: PhD Holders

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Fellowship in Medicine
• Registration with MDCN (Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria) or Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN), where applicable
• Minimum three (3) years experience as Lecturer II/Librarian II
• Admissible publications totaling not less than twenty-five (25) points
• Minimum of five (5) publications
• Job Appraisal score of not less than forty-five (45) points

Pathway 2: Master's Degree Holders

• Master's Degree qualification
• Minimum three (3) years experience as Lecturer II/Librarian II
• Admissible publications totaling not less than thirty (30) points
• Minimum of six (6) publications
• Citation record of not less than five (5)
• Job Appraisal score of not less than forty-five (45) points

Additional Requirements

• Up-to-date membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Minimum two (2) points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibility
• Visible research profile on Google Scholar or ResearchGate with citation record of not less than five (5)

Entry Level

Successful applicants taking up a teaching appointment at the University for the first time will enter at not more than the rank of Lecturer I.
