Position Overview

Federal University Oye-Ekiti is recruiting a Lecturer I in Demography and Social Statistics. This is an academic teaching position at the university level.

Qualifications Required

Candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent must meet ALL of the following:

• A minimum of three years' experience as Lecturer II or Librarian II
• Admissible publications totaling not less than 25 points
• A minimum of 5 publications
• A score of at least 45 points in Job Appraisal
• A score of at least 2 points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibility
• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Visibility on Google Scholar or Research Gate with citations not less than 5

Candidates with a Master's Degree must meet ALL of the following:

• A minimum of three years' experience as Lecturer II or Librarian II
• Admissible publications totaling not less than 30 points
• A minimum of 6 publications
• Citations not less than 5
• A score of at least 45 points in Job Appraisal
• A score of at least 2 points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibility
• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Visibility on Google Scholar or Research Gate with citations not less than 5

Entry Level

Successful applicants taking up a teaching appointment at the University for the first time shall not enter at a rank higher than Lecturer I.
