• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification, OR
• Master's Degree

Professional Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years service as Lecturer II/Librarian II
• For first-time university appointments, entry at Lecturer I rank is maximum level

Publication and Research Requirements

For Ph.D. Holders:

• Minimum twenty-five (25) admissible publication points
• Minimum five (5) publications
• Job Appraisal score of at least forty-five (45) points

For Master's Degree Holders:

• Minimum thirty (30) admissible publication points
• Minimum six (6) publications
• Citation count of at least five (5)
• Job Appraisal score of at least forty-five (45) points

Additional Qualifications

• Active membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Minimum two (2) points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibility
• Visible presence on Google Scholar or ResearchGate with minimum citation count of five (5)
