About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Stellar Group as a Lead Ore Procurement Manager in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall strategy of the purchasing department, formulate purchasing plans and budgets, and optimise the supplier resource pool
• Perform all procurement activities including supplier pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, contract preparation, and tender management
• Lead bulk purchase negotiations to ensure supply chain stability and cost control
• Delegate tasks and supervise the work of the purchasing team
• Identify emerging markets to discover new business opportunities
• Document and report on daily operations and production metrics
• Supervise the operations of the business team and dispatching team, including customer maintenance, procurement negotiation, and fleet dispatching

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND in Purchasing/Supply, Marketing, or Mining-related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of cognate experience in procurement
• Proven experience working in a mining firm
• Computer literacy
