Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Java Developer with expertise in Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot to join our growing team in Abuja. This is an on-site role with a competitive relocation package for the right candidate. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems that support cutting-edge applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and development roadmaps
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices
• Integrate backend systems with databases, APIs, and other third-party services
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
• Document technical specifications, processes, and system architecture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in backend development using Java, Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based systems
• Proficiency with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Solid understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and event-driven systems
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
