Lab Diagnostics Center Manager at You Centred Consulting

Overview

We're looking for an organized, people-focused leader to run the day-to-day operations of our medical laboratory diagnostic center. You'll oversee staff, ensure quality results, keep the lab compliant, and drive growth while maintaining a patient-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership – Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a team of technologists, phlebotomists, and support staff; conduct performance reviews
• Quality & Compliance – Implement and monitor CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189, and local regulations; lead internal audits and proficiency testing
• Operations Management – Manage workflow, turnaround times, and equipment maintenance; optimize staffing to meet volume fluctuations
• Financial Oversight – Prepare budgets, track expenses, and drive revenue by expanding test menus and improving billing processes
• Customer Service – Serve as the primary point of contact for physicians, patients, and insurance providers; resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Continuous Improvement – Analyze KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and introduce lean or Six Sigma initiatives to boost efficiency and accuracy
• Technology Integration – Evaluate and rollout new diagnostic instruments, LIS upgrades, and data management tools

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a clinical laboratory
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role
• Familiarity with laboratory accreditation standards
• Strong budget management and staffing skills
• Proficiency with LIS and standard laboratory software

Work Conditions

• Full-time position, Monday-Friday
• Occasional weekend or on-call coverage for emergencies
