Kitchen Assistant/Cook - Kayima Bistro, Abuja

About the Role

Kayima Bistro is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a reliable, organised, and customer-friendly individual who can assist in the kitchen, support content creation, and handle basic customer communication.

Location Requirements

Applicants must reside in one of the following areas, as the staff bus covers these routes only:

• Maraba
• Nyanya
• Kubwa
• Suleja axis

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Support food plating and presentation
• Record and assist with simple content creation for Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms
• Handle basic customer service duties including WhatsApp messages, phone calls, and taking orders
• Pass accurate order information to the kitchen
• Carry out other assigned duties as required

Social Media & Content Creation Skills

• Basic knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms
• Ability to record short videos using a smartphone
• Basic video editing knowledge (CapCut, InShot, or similar apps) is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and grow in content creation

Requirements

• Must be neat, punctual, and teachable
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to respond politely and clearly to WhatsApp messages and phone calls
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not required
• Willingness to grow with the Kayima Kitchen brand
