Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Key Account Executive to oversee sales and payment collections from key customers within the Idumota market and surrounding areas in Lagos. This role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of the terrain, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing key accounts including distributors, sub-distributors, and wholesale buyers
- Drive product sales, stock availability, and brand visibility across assigned territory
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain clean account records in accordance with company credit policies
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales strategy
- Conduct regular field visits to build rapport, address issues, and follow up on pending invoices
- Provide daily and weekly reports on sales performance, collections, and outstanding accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer disputes and account discrepancies
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Biological Sciences, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or key account management, particularly in open drug markets
- Strong familiarity with the Idumota market and its business dynamics
- Proven ability to drive collections and maintain healthy customer relationships
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet targets
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
