Junior Accountant at Elyon Global Shipping Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including posting transactions and maintaining ledgers
• Support monthly bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Prepare and organize supporting documents for audits and compliance checks
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (minimum 2:1 grade)
• 0–3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Good communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Additional Qualifications

Student membership or professional certifications with ICAN, ACCA, or CFI are advantageous but not mandatory.
