About the Role

This position involves specialized graphic design work using computer graphics software. You will work independently under general administrative direction, creating visual materials and managing design projects from conception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and layout posters, publications, slides, bulletins, pamphlets, and other visual materials using existing computer graphics software packages
• Operate personal computers and associated peripherals to produce design work
• Enter selected data into format templates and select graphics symbols from furnished libraries
• Create new templates and graphics symbols as needed
• Consult with clients and prospective users regarding available services
• Maintain records and files of work performed and compute job costs
• Assist with ordering supplies and equipment
• Perform related work as required

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma supplemented by vocational training or two years of college coursework
• Any equivalent combination of training and relevant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of computer operations, equipment, and graphics software
• Knowledge of layout procedures
• Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with clients
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Strong oral and written communication skills
