IT Support Officer at IPT Powertech

Position Summary

The IT Support Officer will provide technical support to staff, ensure smooth running of computer systems, and assist with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. The role requires a proactive professional who can resolve issues efficiently while delivering excellent user support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2-3 years of proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration
• Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance, system installations, and user support
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified (an added advantage)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices (a plus)

Required Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Excellent knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office Suite, and common business applications
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or equivalent)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Strong customer service orientation
