Job Summary
The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and tracking the storage and dispatch of finished bakery products. This role ensures accurate inventory records, minimizes wastage, and supports efficient product distribution to customers and outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of finished products received, stored, and dispatched
- Conduct daily stock reconciliations and prepare inventory reports
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and prevent product spoilage
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to plan deliveries
- Monitor storage conditions to ensure product quality and safety
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly
- Support periodic stock audits and implement inventory control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory or warehouse management (preferably in FMCG or food production)
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
