Job Summary
The Internal Control Lead will play a key role in strengthening the company's control environment by designing and implementing effective internal control systems. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to policies, manage risks proactively, and promote accountability and operational efficiency across all departments.
Location
Ogere Remo, Ogun, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify areas of process improvement
- Review operational and financial activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Monitor and follow up on audit and control recommendations to ensure timely resolution
- Collaborate with management and departmental heads to enhance control effectiveness
- Provide periodic reports and insights to management on risk exposures and control performance
- Promote awareness of internal control principles through staff training and guidance
Required Qualifications and Experience
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIA
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in internal control, audit, or risk management (preferably in a manufacturing or agro-allied company)
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of internal control systems, financial reporting, and risk management frameworks
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit or accounting software
