Internal Auditor - Inventory at PRIMERO Transport Services Limited

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team in a critical internal audit position focused on inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate internal audit plans and calendars, and ensure their implementation
• Conduct risk assessments and identify measures to mitigate identified risks
• Review records, verify entries, evaluate audit trails, and check compliance
• Supervise the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment
• Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Perform follow-up work, ensuring management actions progress within agreed timelines and escalate failures to senior management
• Conduct ad hoc investigations and reviews
• Provide advice on internal controls and participate in enhancing internal audit standards and practices
• Implement and maintain an effective risk management framework, including internal control systems and compliance policies
• Establish and continuously improve a consistent operating framework for the identification, management, monitoring, and reporting of compliance risks and issues
• Develop valued and cost-effective advice and guidance to business units and management on compliance issues
• Develop appropriate and effective control training programs

Required Qualifications

• HND or B.Sc degree
• Knowledge of ISO 9001
• 4-5 years of relevant audit experience, preferably within the Transportation sector
• Knowledge of the Nigerian Transportation industry, including regulations and standards
• Proven expertise in audit methodology, reporting, and root cause analysis
