About the Role
A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Internal Auditor to design, implement, and monitor internal control systems for a new Supermarket and Bakery business. This role requires hands-on experience in audits, risk management, and operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement internal control and audit frameworks
- Conduct regular audits of sales, inventory, procurement, and cash handling
- Review compliance with operational and financial procedures
- Identify control gaps, risks, and fraud exposures
- Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations
- Monitor implementation of corrective actions
- Support management in strengthening governance and risk controls
Required Qualifications
- Minimum HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG, or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of audit standards, controls, and risk management
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- High level of independence and professional judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIA)
