Internal Auditor / Accountant at The Label Store

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Internal Auditor / Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and surprise audits of all departments and branches to ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
• Review cash handling, sales records, inventory management, and expense documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Detect and report discrepancies, fraud, or policy violations promptly to management
• Verify stock balances, supplier transactions, and store activities to ensure accountability
• Evaluate internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Prepare detailed audit reports and submit findings with corrective action plans to the Head of Audit and Management
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on compliance
• Support management in risk assessment, loss prevention, and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in auditing or internal control
• Proven experience in auditing, internal control, or accounting functions, preferably within a retail, FMCG, or supermarket environment
• Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, internal control systems, and audit standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• ICAN Certification is an added advantage

Salary

N250,000 - N450,000 per month
