Installation Engineer / Specialist at Fortis Engineering Services

Purpose

The Installation Specialist reports to the Bonga North Offshore Construction Lead and is responsible for delivering the Bonga North Topsides scope and tie-in activities. This role ensures best-in-class HSSE and CAPEX performance, achieving safe and flawless start-up (zero leaks) and safe, reliable operations of the asset post start-up.

Project Overview

The Bonga North Project involves the development of new reservoirs through a 16-well tie-back (8 producers and 8 injectors) to the existing Bonga Main FPSO with a 15-year life extension. The project targets approximately 352 MMboe recovery with associated subsea infrastructure and topside revamp scope.

Scope of Work

Subsea Infrastructure (SURF Scope):

• 8 subsea production trees and 8 water injection trees
• 2 x 4-slot production manifolds, 4 x 1-slot production inline tees
• 1 x 6-slot and 1 x 2-slot water injection manifolds, 1 x 1-slot water injection inline tee
• 8 production jumpers and 8 water injection jumpers
• 10" production flowlines (approximately 26 km) with steel catenary risers (SCRs) in two flow loops
• 14" water injection flowline (approximately 12 km) with SCR
• Approximately 32 km of static and dynamic umbilical and 4 km of composite gas-lift umbilical for subsea and well facilities services and control

Topside Modifications:

• Engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation of topside equipment modifications and upgrades
• Total additional dry weight: approximately 1,500 metric tonnes
• Installation of one new water injection turbine-driven pump
• Upgrade of one existing Bonga Main pump
• Addition of four new electric motor-driven methanol injection pumps
• Addition of two corrosion inhibitor pumps
• Multiple tie-ins to existing systems

Project Timeline

The project targets achievement of Final Investment Decision (FID) in 2024 and Final Operations Decision (FOD) in 2027/2028.
