Information Technology Specialist at First Cardiology Consultants

Summary

First Cardiology Consultants seeks a competent and proactive IT Hardware Engineer to manage, maintain, and support the organization's IT hardware infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and connected medical IT equipment to support clinical and administrative services.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, printers, UPS systems, and other IT hardware
• Provide technical support to clinical and non-clinical staff
• Monitor and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and cabling
• Support IT interfaces for medical equipment and hospital systems
• Ensure system uptime, data security, and compliance with hospital IT policies
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and documentation
• Procure laptops and other equipment as required by the hospital
• Liaise with vendors for hardware repairs, upgrades, and procurement

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2–6 years of relevant IT hardware or technical support experience
• Experience in a healthcare environment is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
• Basic networking and server support skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues promptly
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Certifications (Added Advantage)

• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Network+
• Microsoft or equivalent IT certifications

Working Conditions

This is a hospital-based role with on-site technical support responsibilities. The position may require shift, weekend, or on-call support.
