Information Security Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Information Security Engineer to join our dynamic IT security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events, conducting threat assessments, and implementing security measures to protect the organization's data and systems. This role requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, unauthorized access, and phishing attempts
• Conduct root cause analysis of security breaches and recommend remediation strategies
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and collaborate with relevant teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities
• Track and report on the status of vulnerability remediation efforts
• Maintain and optimize security tools, including antivirus software, endpoint protection, and network security devices
• Assist in the deployment and configuration of security technologies
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
• Participate in security audits and assessments
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
• Analyze threat intelligence data to identify potential risks to the organization and provide recommendations to enhance the organization's security posture
• Promote best practices for data protection and cybersecurity within the organization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools
