About the Role

IGCSE Biology Teachers are responsible for delivering the Cambridge International curriculum to secondary school students. You will create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach IGCSE Biology in alignment with Cambridge standards
• Design and implement structured lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including mock exams and IGCSE examinations
• Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and feedback to help students reach their full potential
• Participate in training, workshops, and school events to stay updated with educational best practices
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and school goals

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of IGCSE Biology content
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to student needs
• Skilled in designing and grading assessments aligned with IGCSE standards
• Effective classroom management strategies for maintaining student engagement and discipline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with digital tools for teaching, assessment, and communication

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Education, or a related field
• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
• Cambridge IGCSE training or certification
