About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Human Resources Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs, including payroll inputs, pensions, health insurance, and other statutory deductions
- Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance on performance improvement plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth
- Foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
- Provide HR support and advice to management and staff on various HR-related matters
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent understanding of labor laws and regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Must be a resident of Warri, Delta State
