Human Resource Manager at West African Ceramics Limited

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our team in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources management – from recruitment and workforce planning to employee relations, compliance, and performance management – ensuring HR strategies are aligned with our operational and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and workforce planning for factory and office roles
• Oversee onboarding, training, and continuous development programs
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and grievance procedures
• Implement and monitor performance management systems
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, pensions, and statutory regulations
• Develop HR policies and communicate them effectively across the organisation
• Support management in union negotiations and labour relations (where applicable)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field
• Minimum of 7-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Proficiency in HRIS/HR software and MS Office tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or other relevant certifications)
