About the Role
Bemil Nigeria Limited is seeking a qualified Human Resources Manager to join our Lagos office. You will play a key strategic role in developing and implementing comprehensive HR initiatives while leading our HR team to support organizational growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals
- Lead the HR team in designing, planning, and executing HR programs and initiatives
- Manage the complete recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate selection
- Develop and maintain effective recruitment and onboarding strategies to attract top talent
- Oversee the development of job descriptions and job specifications
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues and mediate conflicts as needed
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to improve retention and engagement
Compliance and Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed
- Update company policies to maintain legal alignment
Performance Management
- Implement performance appraisal systems and monitor performance reviews
- Provide constructive feedback to employees
- Develop and lead performance improvement plans as necessary
Learning and Development
- Identify training needs and plan training programs
- Coordinate training initiatives across the organization
- Encourage continuous learning and professional development for all employees
Compensation and Benefits
- Administer compensation and benefits programs
- Make recommendations for program enhancements
- Ensure salary structures are competitive and aligned with industry standards
- Manage monthly payroll in compliance with employment laws, considering attendance, punctuality, and absenteeism
Analytics and Reporting
- Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making
- Prepare regular reports on HR metrics and trends for senior management
Workplace Culture and Engagement
- Promote a positive workplace culture and oversee employee engagement programs
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale and satisfaction
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members
- Ensure effective communication and teamwork within the HR department
