About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HR Generalist to manage end-to-end HR functions within our organisation. The ideal candidate must have strong HR expertise, excellent people-management abilities, and hands-on experience in the construction industry and site management.
This role requires a proactive professional with deep knowledge of HR best practices and Nigerian labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily HR operations and maintain proper staff documentation
- Promote workplace culture, diversity, inclusivity, and employee engagement initiatives
- Lead the recruitment and selection process across different vacant roles
- Manage site-based employees and handle construction site HR-related issues
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
- Manage payroll efficiently
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee databases and records (remuneration, leave, insurance, etc.)
- Uphold and promote the company's mission, vision, and values through communication, training, and leadership
- Compute and administer staff terminal benefits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Social Sciences, or any related field
- Master's degree in HR (added advantage)
- Minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience in a reputable organisation
- Mandatory experience in the construction industry and site management
- HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
