## Title: Hotel Internal Auditor

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Hotel Internal Auditor at Victoria Waterfront Hotel & Resorts, located in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily audits of sales, stocks, inventories, and accounting records across all outlets
  • Verify figures, postings, and documents for correctness, mathematical accuracy, and proper record-keeping
  • Audit all departments, units, and outlets to ensure proper financial and inventory controls
  • Assist in store management and inventory oversight
  • Build and maintain a strong compliance environment to ensure zero tolerance for policy, procedure, and regulatory infractions
  • Examine recurring and non-recurring expenditures and evaluate financial control systems
  • Liaise with the Accountant, F&B Manager, and Resort Manager to harmonize Food & Beverage product pricing
  • Act as cost controller to ensure the company operates within budget parameters
  • Ensure sales reports and records are accurate and reliable
  • Identify faulty processes and procedures, providing recommendations for adjustments
  • Prepare audit reports and recommendations for management review
  • Work with the Accountant to build awareness of policy and procedure issues, maintaining zero tolerance for un-reviewed transactions and income leakages
  • Collate, check, and analyze stock and purchase items
  • Establish and maintain a database for Food & Beverage inventory stock with up-to-date pricing

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Internal Auditor in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or resort
  • Must reside within Awoyaya, Bogije, Eleko Junction, and environs
