About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Hospital Driver to ensure the safe and timely transportation of staff, management, patients, and medical materials. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth with a dynamic healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities

Medical & Administrative Transportation

• Safely transport doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to meetings, training sessions, and home visits
• Assist in transporting non-emergency patients to and from the hospital while ensuring their comfort and safety
• Collect and deliver urgent medical supplies, blood products, oxygen cylinders, and laboratory samples to and from other facilities
• Properly secure fragile medical items such as blood vials, protecting them from extreme heat and rough handling

Vehicle Hygiene & Maintenance

• Regularly sanitize the vehicle, including door handles, seats, and interiors, using appropriate disinfectants to prevent cross-infection
• Perform daily pre-shift checks on oil, water, brakes, tires, and siren/lights (if applicable)
• Report mechanical faults immediately to the Admin Manager to prevent breakdowns during critical trips

Safety & Compliance

• Operate the vehicle with extreme caution, particularly when transporting patients or fragile medical equipment
• Maintain an accurate Movement Logbook recording time out, destination, mileage, and purpose of each trip
• Strictly adhere to all traffic regulations and defensive driving practices
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient information

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• Extensive knowledge of local road networks in Lagos
• Proven experience as a hospital or medical facility driver
• Ability to maintain vehicles in pristine condition
• Strong commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct
