Job Description

The English Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that develop students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. This role requires expertise in curriculum design, classroom management, and innovative teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with curriculum standards for all grade levels
• Teach core skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and literature analysis
• Prepare students for examinations through structured practice and constructive feedback
• Differentiate instruction to support learners of varying abilities
• Encourage critical thinking and creativity through debates, essays, and projects
• Assess student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback
• Integrate technology and digital tools into teaching and learning
• Promote a love of reading and literature across all age groups
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning
• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as drama, writing clubs, or public speaking

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred)
• Teaching qualification or certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• 2–5 years of teaching experience in English at Primary and/or Secondary levels
• Proven track record of student success in examinations and literacy development
• Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methods
• Background in extracurricular English activities
