This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. Position Overview: Our client is a manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State, seeking to hire a Head of Marketing Unit. This strategic leadership role is responsible for building market share, driving market penetration, and creating demand for the company’s products. The role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies targeting both trade customers (distributors, contractors) and influencing specifiers (consultants, projects). The incumbent will lead all marketing activities to enhance brand equity, generate qualified leads for the sales team, and support overall revenue growth in a competitive manufacturing environment. LOCATION Nnewi, Anambra State. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the annual marketing strategy and plan, including market share growth, product marketing, trade promotions, and digital presence.
  • Design and oversee trade promotion programs, point-of-sale materials, and incentive schemes for distributors and retailers to drive product adoption.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches and existing product lines, creating compelling product messaging, technical literature, and sales tools for the commercial team.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, monitor competitor activity, and identify new market opportunities or segments.
  • Manage the company’s advertising and digital marketing efforts, including website, social media, and email campaigns, to increase awareness and generate leads.
  • Prepare and manage the marketing department budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and measurable return on investment (ROI) for all activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and high performance.
PREFERRED Required Qualifications: AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in advertising and marketing.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Industry-specific experience managing large teams, budgets, and cross-functional projects.
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to anticipate market trends.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and decisive under pressure.
  • Innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of emerging marketing technologies, including AI applications, data-driven personalization, and social media trends.
