Head of Market loans (Market and SME Lending)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Market Loans to lead our market and SME lending operations. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring both strategic oversight and direct field involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee loan disbursement and daily repayment collections
• Design and launch the daily revenue business loan unit
• Implement group lending, guarantor structures, and cash flow verification processes
• Recruit, train, and manage field officers and collection agents
• Ensure strict enforcement of daily repayment discipline
• Monitor portfolio performance, repayment rates, PAR, and default trends
• Approve repeat loans only after full repayment of prior loans
• Develop sector-specific loan rules for market traders, food businesses, supermarkets, restaurants, and similar segments

Required Experience

• Minimum 5-8 years in market loans, trader loans, daily repayment, or micro lending
• Prior experience with microfinance banks or cooperative societies
• Proven track record managing large, short-term loan portfolios
• Hands-on field operations and collections experience
