Head of Legal, Governance and Advocacy

Position Overview

This role presents an opportunity to join a leading organization in the banking and financial services sector. As Head of Legal, Governance and Advocacy, you will lead the Association's legal, governance, company secretarial, and advocacy functions.

You will provide strategic legal guidance, ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, and spearhead initiatives that promote the Association's mission within the Banking and Financial sector. This position requires driving BDAN's advocacy initiatives with key stakeholders across the banking and financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Association's legal, governance, and company secretarial functions
• Provide strategic legal advisory support to the organization
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all organizational operations
• Spearhead advocacy initiatives with key stakeholders in the banking and financial services sector
• Promote the Association's mission and values

Required Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited university or law school
• Between 10 and 15 years post-call to bar experience
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of legal practice experience with focus on corporate, banking, or financial law
• Extensive knowledge of banking and financial law
• Strong expertise in corporate governance
