Head of Learning/ EYFS Lead at Home Also Creche & Preschool

About the Role

Home Also Creche & Preschool is recruiting for a Head of Learning and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Lead. This is a senior leadership position overseeing all Early Years provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years across multiple classroom levels.

Main Responsibilities

• Promote the social, academic, moral, physical, and emotional development of each child within a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
• Oversee the full Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision for children aged 3 months to 5 years, ensuring continuity and progression into Primary School
• Initiate, manage, monitor, and evaluate change across the Early Years team (Crèche, Playgroup, Pre-Nursery, Nursery 1 and 2) to continuously improve practice
• Ensure equality of provision across EYFS, including consistent access to resources and high-quality teaching
• Provide professional guidance and practical support within classrooms when required, drawing on personal expertise and experience
• Promote and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing Early Years environment, supporting the team in delivering high-quality care and upholding professional standards
• Manage the organisation, maintenance, and provision of materials, resources, equipment, and furnishings, including responsibility for ordering within the allocated budget
• Update and maintain all Early Years Foundation Stage Policies, Handbooks, and Risk Assessments
• Ensure parents are actively involved in record-keeping, monitoring, and reviewing their child's progress by promoting strong partnerships with families
• Support the marketing and admissions process by maintaining positive community links, promoting the setting locally, and effectively communicating with prospective families
• Act as a full member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), representing the interests of the Crèche, Playgroup, Pre-Nursery, Nursery 1 & 2 children, staff, and parents
• Keep the Director/Proprietor up to date with ongoing developments through regular verbal and written communication
• Work collaboratively with the Director/Proprietor in recruitment and deployment matters
