Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Akure. As Head of Internal Audit, you will oversee the internal audit function and play a key role in maintaining the organization's operational integrity.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the internal audit function and leading auditing activities
• Assessing financial risks and ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Reviewing financial statements and evaluating risk management processes
• Providing recommendations for continuous improvement
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure adherence to best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred)
• Proven proficiency in analytical skills, internal controls, and problem-solving
• Strong expertise in financial risk management and finance
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with industry audit standards and regulatory compliance

Preferred Experience & Certifications

• Experience in internal auditing within real estate, financial services, or audit firms
• Relevant certifications such as ACA, CIA, or ACCA
• Resident in Akure or willing to relocate
