Head of Accounts at Genesis Group

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced accounting professional to lead our accounting function. You will manage all financial operations, drive accuracy in reporting, and build a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire accounting function, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and statutory compliance
• Consolidate financials from multiple outlets and ensure accurate, timely reporting of daily sales, cash flow, and profitability
• Partner with operations to monitor food cost, wastage, and store-level expenses — ensuring adherence to budget and profitability targets
• Prepare and present monthly management reports, highlighting trends, risks, and actionable insights
• Oversee audit processes, taxation, and regulatory filings
• Implement and strengthen internal controls across cash handling, vendor payments, and inventory management
• Evaluate financial systems and processes; recommend and drive automation or technology solutions where possible
• Develop and mentor the accounting team to build a high-performing, detail-driven finance function

Required Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred
• 5 - 10 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (ideally within QSR, hospitality, or retail sector)
• Strong command of restaurant P&L, cost of goods sold (COGS), and outlet-level financial operations
• Proven experience with POS systems, inventory software, and accounting ERPs (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle NetSuite)
