About the Role

Amy Consulting is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a talented Hair Stylist to join our salon in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will provide exceptional hair services and personalized care to our diverse clientele while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Hair Services & Client Care

• Provide professional hair services including wig making and cutting, wig styling, natural hair styling, frontal installation and styling, sew-in weave styles, ponytail styles, short hair cutting and styling, braiding, coloring, relaxing, and treatments
• Recommend hairstyles and hair care routines based on clients' face shape, hair type, and preferences
• Offer personalized consultations to understand clients' needs and desired results
• Ensure high-quality, consistent results that meet salon standards

Hair & Scalp Treatments

• Apply treatments for hair repair, hydration, dandruff, and scalp care
• Perform steaming, deep conditioning, and hair growth therapies
• Educate clients on home care and appropriate product use

Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon equipment
• Follow health and safety regulations by sterilizing combs, brushes, and tools after each use
• Keep the salon environment neat, organized, and visually appealing

Product Knowledge & Sales

• Promote and sell salon products including shampoo, conditioner, oils, and serums
• Stay updated on current trends, new techniques, and product innovations
• Help achieve salon retail targets through upselling and client education

Customer Service

• Provide a friendly, professional, and welcoming experience for every client
• Listen attentively to client feedback and ensure satisfaction before they leave
• Handle client complaints politely and escalate issues to the salon manager when needed

Teamwork & Professional Conduct

• Collaborate effectively with other stylists, nail technicians, and makeup artists
• Arrive on time, dressed neatly, and adhere to the salon's code of conduct
• Participate in salon meetings, trainings, and promotional events

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with hair trends and new styling techniques
