About the Role

Our client urgently requires an experienced and self-driven General Manager to oversee operations across multiple hotel branches located in Lagos Island and Mainland. This is a leadership position responsible for the strategic and operational management of assigned properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions of the hotel in accordance with organizational structure and standards
• Hold regular briefings and meetings with all department heads
• Ensure full compliance with hotel operating controls, standard operating procedures, policies, and service standards
• Lead key property initiatives including capital projects, customer service improvements, and refurbishment programs
• Handle guest complaints and oversee service recovery procedures
• Prepare, present, and achieve the hotel's annual operating budget, marketing plan, sales plan, and capital budget
• Manage hotel profitability and ensure revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
• Make strategic decisions in the best interest of the hotel and management
• Deliver budget goals and establish short and long-term strategic objectives for the property
• Develop improvement initiatives and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Analyze P&L statements and implement impactful financial strategies
• Monitor daily business reports and make informed decisions accordingly
• Ensure monthly financial projections for rooms, food & beverage, and administrative costs remain on target and accurate
• Maximize room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum First Degree qualification
• At least 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry
• Higher degree and professional certifications (preferred)
• Previous experience in a similar General Manager position (advantageous)
