General Manager - Enugu

A leading integrated agro-allied farm in based in Enugu State with operations in fishery, poultry, piggery, ruminant production, greenhouse farming, and agro-processing (cassava, palm kernel, rice, and related value chains) is seeking to recruit a highly innovative, technology-driven, and business-oriented General Manager. We are looking for a vibrant and forward-thinking professional who will introduce modern systems, drive expansion, and upgrade the farm into a highly efficient, commercially competitive agribusiness. Position Overview: The General Manager will provide overall strategic leadership and operational management across the farm’s diversified production and processing units. The role requires a strong agribusiness leader capable of integrating modern agricultural technologies, improving productivity, optimizing value chains, and driving profitability across multiple enterprises. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all farm operations including fishery, poultry, piggery, ruminants, greenhouse cultivation, and agro-processing units.

• Develop and execute growth strategies to expand production capacity and market reach.

• Introduce technology-driven farm management systems, automation, and modern production practices.

• Oversee production planning, feed and input management, breeding programs, crop cycles, and processing operations.

• Strengthen value addition in cassava, palm kernel, rice, and other processing lines.

• Ensure strict biosecurity, quality control, and sustainability standards across all units.

• Identify and implement innovative systems to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize yield.

• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and cost control to ensure commercial viability.

• Build strategic partnerships with distributors, processors, cooperatives, and agribusiness stakeholders.

• Lead and supervise farm managers and staff to maintain accountability and high performance.

• Monitor KPIs and prepare operational and financial performance reports.

Required Qualifications: & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related discipline. (A Master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage.)

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within an integrated farm or agro-allied enterprise.

• Strong practical knowledge of mixed farming systems and agro-processing value chains.

• Proven experience deploying technology-based agricultural solutions.
