  • The General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Bank’s growth strategy. The ideal candidate will combine strategic foresight with strong execution capability, leading business development, balance-sheet growth, and digital-finance innovation to strengthen the bank’s performance and market relevance. 
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Develop and implement business strategies that drive growth in deposits, credit portfolio, and customer base. 
  • Champion Fintech-enabled lending initiatives and payroll-based credit models for SME and salaried clients. 
  • Identify and execute new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances that enhance competitiveness and profitability. 
  • Oversee product innovation, marketing, and customer-engagement strategies that sustain goodwill and institutional visibility. 
  • Provide strong leadership across key functions; Credit, Operations, Finance, Risk, HR, and Marketing ensuring alignment with strategic goals. 
  • Strengthen governance, risk management, and internal-control frameworks in line with CBN and NDIC standards. 
  • Drive operational excellence through digital transformation, process efficiency, and staff productivity. 
  • Build, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team to deliver superior business results. 
Required Qualifications: & Experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline; Master’s or MBA preferred. 
  • Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria is required. 
  • 12–18 years of progressive experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in senior leadership within microfinance, commercial, corporate, or merchant banking. 
  • Proven track record in business development, market expansion, and balance-sheet growth. 
  • Demonstrated experience in Fintech-driven lending, digital product innovation, or partnership-led distribution. 
  • Strong knowledge of microfinance operations, credit management, and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and leadership capabilities. 
  • High integrity, maturity, and interpersonal effectiveness, with the capacity to engage the Board and inspire teams.
