The General Maintenance Officer is responsible for performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. This role ensures that the hotel buildings and equipment are well-maintained and functioning properly. Experience in plumbing work is a valued advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures (wall switches, outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballasts, sockets, fuses, and minor appliances) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, and replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices
• Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including surface preparation and application of paints, stains, and varnishes, as well as hanging doors, fitting locks, and installing handles
• Assist in the procurement of supplies and materials required to complete all tasks
• Maintain a schedule of completed maintenance and track when the next service is due
• Work in a safe manner, recognize unsafe situations, and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building

Compensation

N100,000 - N110,000 per month
