Furniture Quality Control Officer

About the Role

Beveledge Interior Designs is seeking an experienced Furniture Quality Control Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout our furniture manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of furniture production at various stages of the manufacturing process, including quality checks on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods
• Identify machine-related quality output issues and collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement rectifications
• Supervise the wrapping and loading process of furniture items to ensure strict adherence to protective measures and safe delivery
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from specifications
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Document and maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken
• Monitor and analyze product defect trends to identify root causes and recommend process improvements
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on quality control standards, procedures, and best practices
• Communicate effectively with production managers and stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in quality control to enhance organizational processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, preferably in furniture manufacturing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify causes of quality issues and implement effective solutions
• Familiarity with technical drawings and cutting lists (advantageous)
