Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our growing team at Extramileage Consults Limited in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling applications across both frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with our product and design teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and secure software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable web applications using modern frameworks and best practices
• Design and implement APIs (REST and GraphQL) for seamless integration between services
• Manage backend services and databases, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in Linux and cloud-based environments
• Contribute to DevOps processes including CI/CD, automated deployments, and cloud configurations
• Ensure application security, data protection, and system reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with React.js and Next.js for frontend development
• Proficiency in Node.js and Express.js for backend services
• Solid knowledge of PHP and the Laravel framework
• Hands-on experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience working with Linux environments (setup, troubleshooting, deployment)
• Good understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and cloud-based deployments
• Knowledge of server administration and networking (Nginx/Apache, load balancing, SSL, security hardening)
• Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL integration
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on best coding practices
