About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented French Translator to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating written and spoken materials from French to English and vice versa while ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and clarity of meaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents, emails, and communications from French to English and English to French
• Interpret spoken communication during meetings, calls, or company events involving French-speaking partners or clients
• Review and proofread translated materials to maintain consistency and quality
• Collaborate with various departments (e.g., sales, operations, customer service) to ensure accurate communication with French-speaking stakeholders
• Assist in the localization of marketing, training, and technical materials
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Stay updated on industry terminology and linguistic trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in French Language, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field
• Proven experience (2 - 4 years) as a translator, interpreter, or similar role
• Excellent command of both written and spoken French and English
• Strong understanding of grammar, idioms, and cultural nuances in both languages
• Proficiency with translation tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
