French Language Teacher at Wellspring College

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic French Language Teacher with a genuine passion for teaching and the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom experience.

Location

Omole Phase 2 (Ojodu-Berger), Lagos, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Nigerian and British curricula
• Prepare learners for DELF examinations
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans
• Assess students' progress and provide appropriate feedback
• Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development
• Make effective use of technology, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and interactive whiteboards, to enhance lesson delivery
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations (WASSCE, BECE, UTME, IGCSE, etc.)
• Participate in school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions

Required Qualifications

• HND qualification, B.Sc., or B.Ed. Degree in relevant disciplines
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a reputable secondary school
• Proven track record of preparing students for external examinations

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
• Proficiency in using interactive whiteboards and ICT tools in teaching and learning
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Innovative and creative teaching approach
• Result-driven and goal-oriented mindset
• Adaptable learner with a teachable spirit
• Excellent relationship-building skills with learners
• Professional presentation and appearance
