## Title: Food and Beverage Manager
About the Role
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Food and Beverage Manager at Victoria Waterfront Hotel & Resorts in Lagos, Nigeria.
F&B Operations Management
- Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, bar, room service, banquet, and other F&B outlets
- Ensure smooth service flow and compliance with F&B standards
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service quality
Menu Planning & Development
- Work with chefs to create menus that appeal to customers and are cost-effective
- Ensure consistency in food taste, portion size, and quality
- Update menus seasonally or based on demand
Staff Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise F&B staff including mixologists, waitresses, chefs, and stewards
- Conduct daily briefings, performance evaluations, and grooming checks
- Ensure staff comply with etiquette and service standards
Guest Experience Enhancement
- Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests
- Ensure excellent customer service and promote memorable dining experiences
- Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Manage F&B budgets, revenue targets, and profitability
- Control food and bar costs, waste, and stock levels
- Work closely with the accounts department on expenses and cost analysis
Inventory & Supply Management
- Ensure accurate stock-taking and ordering of food, beverages, and supplies
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts
- Ensure proper storage, portion control, and usage of products
Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and hotel policies
- Comply with local health regulations and conduct regular inspections
- Oversee cleanliness of kitchens, dining areas, and equipment
Event & Banquet Coordination
- Plan and manage banquets, conferences, and special events
- Coordinate with the kitchen, service team, and event planners
- Ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
